All JustGoSketching sketchbooks are Handcrafted in Cornwall

All JustGoSketching books are hand-stitched, glued three times, and have a linen spine and woven headed bands for strength and durability. They also feature rounded corners.

The Paper

I have used many different brands and types of paper but the paper I have used the most and now use exclusively for sketching. I find the 190g/m² (90lb) NOT surface is ideal for dry and wet work.

Saunders Waterford® is a high-quality watercolour paper produced using traditional cylinder mould machine techniques. This paper is considered superior and is made by St Cuthberts Mill, with an endorsement from the Royal Watercolour Society. 100% cotton is used to produce this paper, which is of the highest quality in papermaking. The paper is made to meet high archival standards, and each sheet is buffered with calcium carbonate to protect finished work from discoloration caused by acid present in atmospheric pollution.​​Its attractive surface is created using natural woollen felts that give it a distinctive random texture. The surface is sized in gelatine making it strong and resilient to scrubbing, and other rough treatments.
